Mailchimp Mac App

After just joining the Design System team, I was well aware of the need for a centralized source of truth AND a central hub for all resources that the design department used.

The idea first came when Jeff Mehlhoff, who was on the Design Tooling team (a super strong team of one), saw that a tool like a centralized Mac App would help with new designer onboarding: One place to look for EVERYTHING that we could preinstall on folks’ computers.

One of the coolest things about this was that SO many non-design systems resources are all at everyone’s fingertips. All powered by native code.
